hello guys
so for this week’s topic i will list my favourite second book in a series now it doesn’t mean that i didn’t like the books after the second one but rather than the second book is what kept me going or i prefer the second book more
for me i like to give the second book a try if i didn’t like the first one because sometimes the series only gets better after the first book
goodreads group : TOP 5 WEDNESDAY
1- A COURT OF MIST AND FURY
I don’t think this will come as any surprise upon my reread i recognised how flawed the first book was for me acotar is the worst book sara j.mass has written so far. but upon my reread for acomaf i enjoyed it even more!! and for this is the best book sara has written so far!!
2- SCARLET
i remember reading cinder and not enjoying it at all then maybe a year later i picked up scarlet and i couldn’t stop reading it and i just binge read the entire series for me scarlet is my favourite in this series also the romance was my favourite
3- THE HEART OF BETRAYAL
this trilogy was so hyped up but i didn’t see why when i read the first book it was kinda boring and predictable and i though the MC was annoyingly spoiled but the trilogy recovered so much in the second book
4- A TORCH AGAINST THE NIGHT
i love this series and i really enjoyed the first book but the second book in my opinion was better so much action more word building and it really kept me at the edge of my seat
5- INSURGENT
i watched the movie divergent before i read the book * I KNOW THE MOST SINFUL THING* so i couldn’t enjoy it that much so when i read insurgent i didn’t have movie reference and i enjoyed it more then of course allegiant ruined everything
…………………………..
have a nice day
till the next time xx
I have to say that I enjoyed the Divergent movies better than the books. How do you feel about them?

I liked the first movie the best also. I wasn’t really a fan of the third movie or book though.

I hate when that happens. The book had so much potential to finish strong. And I almost feel like they ended the movie in hopes of splitting the book in to two movies…ugh!

you are right it is absolutely the worst when books don’t live up to their potential

Totally. Sometimes I avoid reading really positive reviews about something so I don’t get my hopes up too much since we all read things differently.
