hello
*top 5 Wednesday is weekly bookish memes hosted by sam and lainey, goodreads group :T5W*
i want this month to be over like right now!! when i was checking this week’s topic i thought it’s the last one but it’s NOT!
anyway this week’s topic is 5 favourite books before you joined book community whether it was book tube\blog\insta, i’ll choose 5 novels before i started my blog and insta even though some might be recommended by book tubers ( i didn’t read a lot of novels back then )
1- THE KITE RUNNER
i read this book in arabic and i absolutely loved it it was so good if you haven’t read you should do the ending was so beautiful!! it’s historical fiction about amir’s live in Afghanistan before the taleban and after
2- GRANADA NOVEL
i don’t know it’s name in english but it’s a historical fiction novel by Adwa ashour you guys this novel is so beautiful and heartbreaking it follows this muslim family through the generations after the fall of islamic conquest this part of history is very important to us it was one of the most civilised cities in the golden islamic age ( for 8 centuries muslims and jews and christians lived there in harmony ) this story follows the family who are being terrorised for their religion .
3- 1001 ARABIAN NIGHTS
this was not a required reading but i really like arabian nights settings\ atmosphere i fell in love with aladdin and the old arabic poems, i really love it when non-arabs author write a novel set in this world and they do it well!! . this is my favourite classic so far of course i read it in arabic the poetry and the writing makes me love my language even more and more!
4- THE LUNAR CHRONICLES
i read cinder first and i didn’t like it that much then about a year later i found the rest of the books at a book store ( i didn’t look for them before ) and i decided to read them and i’m glad i did
5- THRONE OF GLASS
every time i watched a book video this series would be mentioned (back then when all i did was watch sasha’s video’s ) and i heard my friend talk about it once so when i saw them i bought them right away

have a nice day…….xx
ARWA
I loved the Lunar chronicles, it is probably my favourite as far as fairy tale retellings go. I’ve not gotten around to the kite runner or 1001 Arabian nights.
I also posted a top 5 Wednesday this week if you’d like to check it out x

I’ve always loved the idea of the Lunar Chronicles, but I’ve never gotten around to actually buying them. Anything fairytale-ish has me in love with it, so hopefully it lives up to my expectations.
