HELLO
This week’s topic is about things in books that upset not serious stuff but things that are generally not bad but you hate.
*TOP 5 WEDNESDAY IS A WEEKLY BOOKISH MEME BY LAINEY AND SAM GOODREADS GROUP: T5W*
1- THIN PAPERS
i like big books – and i can not lie- but when the author\publisher want’s thin paper, who are you trying to fool?! . yea i get it’ll be lighter but I LIKE BIG BOOKS!
2- COVER CHANGES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SERIES!
i can name a few of my non-finished series that are changing their covers. WHYYYY! and seriously stressed about matching their covers!
3- TINY WRITING
i keep telling myself the important things are the writing and the plot. but i can not stop thinking how it irks me specially when i order a book online and not knowing that it’s written in this tiny font!
4- HUMAN BEINGS ON THE COVERS
it just, naahh
5- RIPPED DUST JACKETS\ OUTER COVER
every time i order books online there has to be books that their dust jacket are ripped even if it is small one!
Tiny fonts drive me bizarre. I know they’ve got to get a certain number of words of a page but sometimes it feels like publishers don’t want to be accessible to readers who need at least a size 11 or 12 font. This is one reason why I got a kindle because I can easily resize the font if I need to.

that’s great, i can’t read other than physical books. my eyes hurts really fast. they should consider resizing it for the good of the people!

That’s fair enough, and I wholeheartedly agree.

omg I HAAATE tiny writing! It makes the book look so intimidating! I’d rather have a big book with a big font instead!

Tiny fonts and papers absolutely kill me inside! I like to read without my glasses but even sometimes the glasses don’t help! It’s madness 😂

Oh gosh you are so right about thin pages in big books- what is with that?! And I so agree about cover changes mid series and ripped dust jackets are just a big no-no!!

Amen to human beings on the covers! Seriously! As soon as there’s an actual person on there, I just immediately go “nope, next” even though the story might be great. I’LL NEVER KNOW.
As for thin paper: I like big books! But I also hate the fact that I’m clumsy and thin paper is pretty much begging for me to make an accidental rip aka ripping my own heart out…

exactly! humans on cover can be very cheesy to me!
ripping a page is the most awful, heart wrenching thing ever! and thin papers don’t help on that matter..
