BLOGIVERSARY AND WHY I LOVE THE BOOK COMMUNITY

IT’S BEEN A YEAR! what a whole year! i can’t believe time flies by that fast! i still feel like a newbie!

* that was 2017-11-20*

i dare say that fiction and YA and fantasy and the whole book community was one of the BEST things i ever discovered i honestly don’t want to know how my life would’ve been with out books!

my sole purpose for starting my blog was to communicate through it with book lovers all over. there aren’t many book lovers in my life but now there are so many *it’s getting very emotional*

there are so many things i learnt looking back to my old blogging days. i’m no professional book blog\reviewer or artist by any means, but i’ve learnt many things that will help me in so many ways. like: organizing my posting schedule and sticking to it ( most of the time), or reviewing books. i’m of course still learning how to improve my reviews but book community made me aware of so many things when i read\review a book.

165 beautiful people are now following me. the number isn’t that big but i thought i would never reach it. so thank you all for following me and commenting and everything

something that i always try and remind myself of, is that don’t compare your blog with other’s and just have fun.

here’s SOME reasons why i love book community :

2

– NON-TOXIC COMMUNITY

okay, it’s impossible to have completely positive community, but book community is one with less negativity of other community i’ve encountered. for instance there aren’t videos or blogs that there only purpose is to talk gossip or drama!

i love makeup but there is so many drama that it gets toxic and unbearable! but i don’t find this toxicity in the book community and i’m very grateful for it. i haven’t read or seen someone being racist or hateful toward other book lover even if they have very opposite opinions.

– YOU CAN FANGIRL ALL DAY, EVERYDAY

yes there are always fandoms for whatever it is you want to gush over. and the important part is that you’ll find the other person so welcoming.

isn’t the whole purpose of a community is to communicate!? well book people well always be there for you!

plus the fangirl-ing is the best thing!

– THE CREATIVITY

ahh creativity what a magical word… for people who read about magic and fantasy almost always you can never expect any less from them. the pictures from bookstagram or the discussion on bookbloging or the TAGS!

– HOW VERY SOCIABLE BOOK PEOPLE ARE.

that’s right, book people can be very sociable and not that introvert! specially when we meet other book people!

i mean we have very divers social media platforms. if that doesn’t say how much loving and sociable we are i don’t know what does!

– THE DIVERSITY

in age, ethnicity, background, religion..etc. i’ve never literally seen anyone in the book community being bullied for that! we never care about these things as long as we are being nice to each other. it never stopped us from gushing over books!

2

-ALWAYS FINDING NEW WORLDS AND STORIES

AND OF COURSE the most important: how you always get new recommendations ! whether you enjoy them or not you get recommendations!

i’ve discovered so many good books through book community and i keep seeing new recommendations and my TBR bile keeps getting bigger and bigger and that’s the beauty of it! we get to discover new worlds and stories!

  1. Yay! Congrats on one year! I agree with all the things you said about the book blog community. I’ve found nothing but super nice, creative, and supportive people since I started doing this. It’s so refreshing, especially given how awful can be on social media.

    Here’s to another year!
