TOP TEN BOOKS OF 2017

I hope you all had a wonderful reading year.

I myself had a great reading year! i discovered new books that became some of my all time favorites. i can’t wait for 2018. i set up a goal of reading 70 books which was higher than my last one.

these are my favorite books i read this year, but it doesn’t mean they were published this year.

1- CROOKED KINGDOM ( SIX OF CROWS-2) 

six of crows was good, but crooked kingdom was so much better! this book is one of my all time favorites. it was non-stop action page turner, the ending was heartbreakingly AWESOME! the writing and the plot and the characters were all great.

 

 

 

 

 

2- CRYSTAL STORM (FALLING KINGDOMS-5) 

I am thankful for being introduced to this series in 2017. falling kingdoms is a great fast paced fantasy series with a lot of action political intrigue and plot twists. i like this book the best because my ship was finally sailing in this one (although it kinda sailed in the previous one but i like how they were in this one!) and because it was just great!!

 

 

 

 

 

3- THE BONE SEASON (THE BONE SEASON-1) 

another great series i was introduced to. this series is one of my all time favorites ever! i love it so very much i can’t say how much i do! this series restored my faith in dystopia. the characters are great. paige is amazing! and the warden ughhhh.. i was taken by surprise when i started this book. the fantasy elements in this were well written and the dystopian world was so much fun!

 

 

 

 

 

 

4- THE SONG RISING ( THE BONE SEASON-3) 

including to books of the same series must say a lot about how much i love this series! the series keeps getting better and better with each book. the writing was just plain fantastic in this one. so much action and heartbreak. the story was well crafted. the pacing was good. i can’t wait for the next book hopefully it will be much longer!

 

 

 

 

 

 

5- ILLUMINAE ( THE ILLUMINAE FILES-1) 

aside from the interesting and fun format of this book. this book was a really good YA sci-fi story. i’m not much of a sci-fi fan because it can get really confusing but this book was easy to read fast paced book with amazing villain. Illuminae…..review

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6- STRANGE THE DREAMER ( STRANGE THE DREAMER-1)

i was hesitant from reading this book and honestly i didn’t expect much of it, only because i was let down by the daughter of smoke and bone trilogy. but this book blew me away! the writing was so good ( the writing in daughter of smoke and bone was great but far better in this one!) the world was so magical and atmospheric, the plot was great as well. i can’t wait for the next book! review: STRANGE THE DREAMER ( THANK YOU LAINI FOR WRITING IT!)

 

 

 

 

 

7- WARCROSS (WARCROSS-1) 

i went in expecting not so much because i haven’t read any of the author’s books and haven’t read any book with virtual reality in it. and thank god for that! this book was very good. the plot and the characters were what really made this book for me specially at the end of it. i didn’t see that coming at all! review: WARCROSS

 

 

 

 

 

 

8- THE WELL OF ASCENSION (MISTBORN-2) 

i couldn’t let this book down it was so full of action and prophecies! specially after the ending of the first book the aftermath was insane! i can’t say much except that my heart was broken so many times and i gasped so many times and i didn’t see the twists so many times!

 

 

 

 

 

 

9- THE NIGHT CIRCUS 

i can’t seem to find the words for this book. it was magical and enchanting and mysterious. the writing was absolutely great. the characters were so precious. it did get me a while to get into it. once i finished it i couldn’t stop thinking of how a great read it was. review: The night circus ….review

 

 

 

 

 

 

10- CLOCKWORK PRINCESS (THE INFERNAL DEVICES-3) 

I didn’t think not in million years that i would cry like a baby from this book! this trilogy is one of my favorites the characters and the world were the best part of this trilogy even the writing was good. this series probably has one the most likable characters ever. which made whatever happened wrench your heart away! review: CLOCKWORK PRINCESS…..THE ONE WITH AL THE FEELS
