HOW TO MAKE – MEET – BOOK LOVING FRIENDS!

HII

i’m sure most of us started our blogs to interact with readers all over ( i know i am ).

you know what can be really sad is to have no friends who read!! some of us are lucky enough to have a partner who reads or best friend or even your family!

but not all of us are lucky and we can feel lonely ;( but worry not my friends! as a member of the bookish community i’ll share my list on how to find THE bookworms.

1- THROUGH THE INTERNET..

this one is the most obvious one. i mean here you are reading this list, so you’ve already discovered bookish blogs\ Instagram\youtube.

i find this method the easiest considering the fact that you interact with people from all over the world. yes it’s better to interact with people face to face sometimes and this method ins’t very encouraging of that BUT you don’t actually have to move from your seat or your bed to interact with people!!

2- THROUGH BOOKSHOPS. YAAY!!

you can just go to your favorite section, pretend you are reading ( or just read!) and wait for someone to come and start chatting!! don’t be shy bookworms are friendly!just not when interrupting us while reading!!*

WHAT ??!! TOO CREEPY ?!! OKAY FINE you can just go to book sessions or events whatever makes feel less creepy *if that’s what you like!*

3- BOOK CLUBS\ EVENTS..ETC

okay less creepy suggestion! lit clubs or book clubs ARE the best way to meet bookworms! i mean you are actually going to a place where ONLY people interested in books are going to show up!

what are the possibilities of not finding someone who has a taste in books similar to yours?! very slim!!

you are meeting people who want to escape their reality by reading books! this should be heaven to you!!

4- BY ” ACCIDENTALLY” WALKING PAST SOMEONE WHO IS READING AND SAYING ” OHH I LOVE THAT BOOK!!”

OR, or just running until you reach that person and saying that! sure you will desperate but sometimes you’ll need to get the fangirl-ing out of your system or it will lead to serious injuries!!

5- A SURVEY TO KNOW AMONG YOUR NEIGHBOURS TO KNOW WHO READS AND WHO IS YOUR NEW FAVORITE PERSON!

THAT’S GOING TOO FAR ?! YES ?! OKAY WHATEVER MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE!

6- BY SAYING QUOTES FROM YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS!

okay let me tell you how this one will work. you say a quote from a book you like or any other nerdy comments and just wait to see who will recognize it!!

genius ha ?

of course this method by take sometime. it’s not as fast of a method as the ones mentioned above! but it’s effective nonetheless

7- BY NOT BEING SHYY!!

the most important thing of all is not being shy! don’t be afraid to go and ask people about books! don’t be afraid to make new friends!

okay just a little disclaimer i’m really shy when it comes to making new friends! *oohps* but NOT THAT shy when meeting someone who shows an interest in books!!

we bookworms are sooooooo friendly and welcoming to other bookworms!!

  1. I love this!!! i am a longer, always home and no bookish friends. I have in the past year made 1 friend through bookstagram and blogging. My one thing i want is to have a bookish friend i can chat with through skype or something that feels like i am talking face to face even though we are far away!

      1. Not a problem, it sucks big time.. we need a place on the internet to just only chat with bookworms like online chatting or something idk, ideas haha but like skype is the only thing i can think of being face to face with someone that is not actually infront of you lol
