MY FAVORITE SIDE CHARACTERS

side characters are the characters on which the story isn’t focused on. some characters are created merely to die eventually or to help with the development of the mine character.

on the other hand some authors create a compelling, charismatic side characters that make the story even more interesting. and that’s what I really appreciate.

1- JASNAH KHOLIN

the stormlight archives 

I fell in love with jasnah the moment her character was introduced! she’s intelligent, strong willed, and just awesome!!  everyone in the book tries to get her approval. reading about her you can see how charismatic she is!

 

 

2- SEVRO AU BARCA

red rising 

this trilogy has one of the most compelling cast of characters! each and everyone has his\her own traits and personality. serve is one of the characters that you want to read more about. reading the first book he was full of surprises that made the plot more interesting in someways. and I can’t read the rest of the trilogy to know more about him!

 

 

3- LADY OLENNA TYRELL

a song of ice and fire 

it is well acknowledged that this series has one of the best cast of characters out there! it was hard choosing some characters from this series because a- there are a lot of them! and b- everyone dies so it’s hard to remember everyone!. but Olenna made the cut. she’s witty, strong, intelligent, and it’s just fun to have her around!.

 

 

4- RAMSAY BOLTON

a song of ice and fire 

yes you read that right! he was the most horrible, scary, psychotic villain in the series!! he’s not my favorite because I’m okay with the things he’s done, but because how good of a villain he was!

 

 

5- NICK NYGARD

the bone season 

just right after Paige and the warden, this guy is my favorite! he’s been such a good friend to Paige. he’s the kind of character in a book that is sweet and realistic. just the kind of friend a protagonist needs. (THE 4TH BOOK COULDN’T COME ANY SOONER!!)

 

 

4- NICOLO CASSIAN

falling kingdoms 

again same here with the sweet, realistic friend, that adds to much to the story and you can’t help but wishing for him to have his happily ever after!!

 

5- SOPHIE COLLINS

the infernal devices 

ahh this series and all it’s characters… this is one of the series where I can’t pick one favorite! all the characters I adore. but if I have to choose only one from the side characters I’d choose sophie. she’s strong, and won’t let any man sweep her up her feet because she knows she got to work hard to live and a sweeping romance won’t help.

 

6- FENRYS

throne of glass 

again this series and actotar I can’t pick only one side character! ToG has a big cast of characters and through the books new ones are introduced that have a big role in the story. so they kind are main characters. fenrys however we don’t get to read his own chapter (unfortunately that is) though he’s one of the charming characters you can’t help but fall for.

 

 

7- SIMON LEWIS

the mortal instruments

simon is so adorable!! and nerdy and funny!! all the things you would want in a friend. I actually liked him more than clary not gonna lie!

 

 

8- ZUZANA NOVAKOVA

daughter of smoke and bone

zuzana is fierce, strong, sassy, and just the friend you would want! she and karou were my favorite from that trilogy.

 

9- FRED AND GEORGE WEASLY

harry potter 

I was debating whether or not to include them. in my opinion they kind are of the main cast right?! anyway it wouldn’t harm anyone including them! I love these two so much! reading the book I wished these two were real ( among other things of course ) they’re just so fun!!
