synopsis :
Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed.
The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminaecontinues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.
Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion.
When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.
this book was action packed!! a page turner, unexpected twists and great cast of characters. this book made me set at the edge of my seat. at least after the first probably 100 pages. that section of the book was liking reading a reality show starring a rich kid. but it wasn’t boring because I got to know the characters fist and a bit about their background. plus, there were things that promised of the craziness that will come after.
” the family that eats together maintains a successful interstellar criminal organization together ”
the characters, I didn’t love the female protagonist as much as I loved the one in the first book. that being said, it doesn’t mean I hated her either. she kicked butts! and she just kept going. the cast of characters were divers, had depth and were as good as the ones in the first book.
” patience and silence had one daughter and her name was vengeance “
the plot takes an unexpected turns in this one. the ending left me anxious on what would happen in the last book! I’m honestly terrified and excited for the finale!
ou favorite crazy AI was mentioned in this book, which was one of my favorite things about this book! I liked how the pieces from the first book got together at the end perfectly.
” that faded blue catches fire as her smile blooms bright. and blood and loss and tears and screams do not matter anymore, because at least they are together “
have you read this trilogy ? what do you think of this book ?
