T5W: BEST BOOKS OF 2018 SO FAR

2018 isn’t my best reading year so far. although I’ve read great books, I’m still trying to get out of my reading slump!!

seeing the books I’ve read in the last 6 months got me feeling ashamed of myself…

here are the great books I’ve read:

1- THE WAY OF KINGS 

of course, of course this book is my number one! this was just beyond what I expected. and I’m really excited and nervous to read the next book in the series. my review: THE WAY OF KINGS.. A BOOK LIKE NO OTHER!

 

 

2- GOLDEN SON 

red rising was great, but it’s sequel was even greater! I can’t gush enough about this book. my review: THE GLORY OF GOLDEN SON

 

 

3- POISON STUDY 

I finished this book at the beginning of July. this is a lot of people’s favorites and it’s one of the older hyped YA books. but getting into it I didn’t want my expectations to be that high.AND THANK GOD! but it exceeded my expectations! and I love it when books do that!

 

 

4- PERCY JACKSON: THE BATTLE OF THE LABYRINTH

the reason this is my favorite because things get really darker in this one. I kept reading it and I didn’t know what to expect. I enjoyed reading all the books in this series. but this is my favorite so far. ( I haven’t read the last book yet!)

 

 

5- THE CRUEL PRINCE

i enjoyed this book mainly because of the world building and the faeries Holly black created. it was new and thrilling and dark and very enjoyable. the plot and the characters were good as well.  my review: THE CRUEL PRINCE.. A DARK ENTICING FAERIE STORY
