SHATTER ME

Hii

So I finally read this book! This series is one of the most hyped series in YA. And I finally read it. I was hesitant to read it because of the mixed reviews I read. Some who I trust their opinion loved it, while others who I also trust their opinion didn’t. But thank God I decided to see for myself!

Name: shatter me-1

Author: Tahereh Mafi

Pages: 338

Publication date: 15 November 2011

Publisher: Harper

One of the reasons why some people didn’t enjoy this book was the writing. Sure enough, the writing was different but it wasn’t at as bad as what I thought. I actually liked it. It got me more engaged with the characters. I flew through this book I didn’t want it to end.

Yes, there were some lines were the analogy was different, odd. But considering that I’m reading this story through the protagonist’s POV it made me enchanted with her character and eager to know her more. Considering her past her odd way of describing things wasn’t offsetting.

The characters I liked. Even though this book is short I fell in love with them!! I sympathized with them, and swooned over them ( I also read the Novella with Warner’s POV and absolutely fell for him!! My poor boy;( )

I can’t say much about the plot. I feel like this book focused heavily on the characters and their past. There were details about the world building. But I feel like more details about the antagonist weren’t present. So is the whole rebellion thing. Which I’m not mad about. I enjoyed this book and what it contained.
