JANUARY WRAP UP. STARTING THE YEAR STRONGLY

Hii

When I say I’m starting strong this year, I mean reading 6 books in total or more. And considering I’ve been in this obnoxious reading slump I’ve feel very confident about my wrap up.

1- TOWER OF DAWN

I read this book in December but I didn’t finish it until the beginning of the year ( which feels like ages ago!! January was the longest month!!) I really enjoyed it. I have a full review here THE CURING OF TOWER OF DAWN

2-KINGDOM OF ASH

The final book of the throne of glass series was absolutely beautiful. Though the characters are dear to my heart, I was ready for this series to end. This book left me at peace with the characters and a bit heartbroken. My review: KINGDOM OF ASH. HOW IT BEGAN, AND HOW IT ENDED.

3-SHATTER ME

I’ve read so many mixed reviews about this series, and it made me hesitant to read it ever since. But GOD I’m so glad I read it!! It was so good! I can’t wait to read the next books. I need more Warner!! Review: SHATTER ME

4- SHADOW-SONG

The second book and the conclusion to the wintersong doulogy. I’m must say I wasn’t very pleased with it. I enjoyed the first book way more. Even though this book had character development., the absence of some characters made this book a bit boring! I wasn’t sure if it was 3 or 2 stars..

5-LANGUAGE OF THORNS

This is a collection of short stories from the Grishaverse. I loved most of them. They were magical and dark. Even though I enjoyed reading these stories, I came to a conclusion that short fairytales aren’t my favorites. I missed workings of a complete novel. This book is great for light reading or gifting to someone.

6- A REAPER AT THE GATES

I finally read this book!! I enjoyed the previous two books in this quartet, so I couldn’t wait to read the fourth book. I was honestly afraid of the heartbreak that this book will deliver. And guess it delivered just that and more! Like always, this book had nonstop action. But there was something missing. I don’t know what it was, maybe because the book was short and I felt it could’ve been longer and had more time to know some characters. It felt kind of rushed.

HOW WAS YOUR READING MONTH?
