“who’s this strange blogger that popped in my feed?!” you may be wondering, but I yes, I returned from the dead and here is my wrap up for this month!

I hoped to read more than four books, but they were amazing so I’m not really complaining.

1- THE CITY OF BRASS

name: the deavabad trilogy-151AiOrm56BL._SX329_BO1,204,203,200_

author: S.A Chakraborty

genre: adult fantasy

pages: 533

publication date: November 14th 2017

I loved this book! I loved the complex characters, the rich world and history, the political intrigue, and  the intricate plot! this I believe will be the trilogy where I’ll have my heart broken and mended many times, the type where it’ll leave me in a state of shock after I finished it!. it follows a human con artist  girl who gets herself in the dijinn world to discover that she might be the reason to start a war years in the making. the reason why it was a 4.5 because I wasn’t very interested in some of the chapters at the beginning.

2- AURORA RISING

name: the aurora cycle-1img_2639

authors: Jay kristof, Amy coffman

genre: YA sci-fi

pages: 473

publication date: May 7th 2019

Jay and Amy did its again! this book was amazing! ( and I actually like this one more than the illuminae files so far!) the characters were incredible ( my favorite thing about this book!), the plot had interesting twists, the world building was really good. this book honestly had me from the dedication!. I think I didn’t give it a five stars because I felt the story dragged on a bit?! I don’t know! I honestly forgot why I didn’t rate it 5 stars! 100% would recommend.

3- SERPENT AND DOVE

name: serpent and dove -1516uVlGOH3L._SX329_BO1,204,203,200_

author: Shelby Mahurin

genre: YA fantasy

pages: 528

I enjoyed this book greatly. it was a quick fun fantasy read. it had one of my favorite tropes ( hate to love ) the male main character is just so adorable! the female character I liked her first then she began to annoy me then I liked her back at the end, and that is why I gave it 4 stars. I enjoyed the plot and world building as well.

4- SHADOW STUDY

name: soulfinders-151pmJIAikZL._SX316_BO1,204,203,200_

author: Maria V.snyder

genre: YA fantasy

pages: 384

publication date: December 2014

this is the sequel to the study trilogy. I loved the first book in that trilogy and I wrote a review here :THE UNEXPECTED POISON STUDY, though I didn’t enjoy the other two books as much I loved the characters and wanted to continue my journey with them. the author didn’t disappoint. this first book was amazing. I loved the direction of the plot of these book and where it might lead. the characters of course were amazing. even though I enjoyed this book immensely I felt like it wasn’t a 5 star read for me, don’t get me wrong it was really good but not five stars really good.
