so many great books will be published this year, and I can’t wait to read them! some of these books will be of no surprise to you. it is either because you’ve been following me long enough to know I’m excited about them, or because they might be a little bit hyped about.
HI
it’s that time of year! my favorite posts to read and write are yearly favorites!
I haven’t reached my goodreads goal in the past year due to the ugliest reading slump I’ve ever had!! so it was kinda of hard to name 10 favorite books of the year. not because I can’t narrow it down to 10, but because there aren’t really many books to do so!

we can all agree that the first line in a book has its importance. it’s the first thing you read therefore it’s kind of the indicator of whether this book might pull your attention or not.
lately, I’ve been enjoying reading some of the favorite first lines of some bloggers. so I decided to share my favorites.

I think it is time to finally share some of the most hyped YA series out there that I want to read.
these are some series that keep being mentioned constantly, that actually caught my attention. plus, I think it would be a good idea to share this list so you guys can tell me what you think of the series you read, and recommend new ones!

there are some series in this list that I really enjoyed. but unfortunately the second book, or the rest of the series wasn’t that good. or at least wasn’t as good as the first book!
and there are other series where I just gave up on , and wouldn’t recommend for anyone.

the lovely Heather at the sassy geek wrote a post about a list of fantasy books she would make a required reading if she taught a fantasy class.
and that was a great idea for a blog post! specially since fantasy is my favorite genre! all credits go to Heather for the idea of this post. check out her blog for more great posts!

it is no secret that the story is as good as it’s villain. and I love me some good villain!
let me tell you, if a story is lacking in it’s villain’s characterization, the book loses a star or two for me.
there are great villains in books i’ve read, and not so great ones. but the what inspired me to write this post, was Voldemort from harry potter just as I was reading the chamber of secrets .
