SERIES THAT KINDA OF WENT DOWNHILL FOR ME (MAY NOT FINISH)

there are some series in this list that I really enjoyed. but unfortunately the second book, or the rest of the series wasn’t that good. or at least wasn’t as good as the first book!

and there are other series where I just gave up on , and wouldn’t recommend for anyone.

1- RED QUEEN SERIES 

I remember this series was one of the first YA I’ve read! the first book had some good things in it definitely. it was why I read the second one and enjoying it. unfortunately as I  couldn’t get past the first half of the third book, and honestly, there are many books out there for me read instead of trying to continue this series and trying to ignore the bad things about it.

 

 

2- DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE TRILOGY

I LOVED the first book!!! until at least the last 50 pages.. it’s actually the reason why I want to go to Prague so bad!! Laini has a beautiful writing, and the Idea of the story was really good unfortunately the other two books in the trilogy didn’t live up to the greatness of the first one! the story dragged on, there weren’t much action scenes where Laini could’ve made things more interested.

 

 

3- SHADES OF MAGIC SERIES  

the first book was really good. the writing was great, and the world building was new and interesting. the second book was really good as well. unfortunately, in the second book and the third I couldn’t stand some of the characters! and that was really important since the plot is slow paced. I had nothing with the pace of the plot, however not liking the majority of the main cast was a problem for me and I was bored a lot in the third book. I’ll still continue reading V.E schwab’s books. she’s a great author and I’d like to love her other books.

 

4- NEVERNIGHT CHRONICLES

great world building, kickass characters, and good writing. unfortunately, A LOT of uncomfortable sex scenes! and dirty jokes!! that it became tedious. the plot is slow paced in this trilogy, but since I felt really REALLY uncomfortable and grossed out I couldn’t continue the second book. and I feel I won’t finish this series. it’s just not for me..

 

 

5- THE WRATH AND THE DAWN DUOLOGY

HEAR ME OUT!! I LOVE the first book with all of my heart!! and the second one wasn’t that bad at all!! it just did not live up to the greatness of the second one… I’d still recommend this duology to almost everyone! but I’d understand if they thought the second book wasn’t as good as the first one. beautiful ending though!!
