HII
I finally read this novella! it was just the perfect story after what happened in the last book. it made me remember how much I loved this trilogy and the characters.
I can’t say how much I am excited for the next book!

Hope warms the coldest night.
Feyre, Rhys, and their close-knit circle of friends are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly-changed world beyond. But Winter Solstice is finally near, and with it, a hard-earned reprieve.
Yet even the festive atmosphere can’t keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, she finds that those dearest to her have more wounds than she anticipated–scars that will have far-reaching impact on the future of their Court
I have no Idea how to start this review!
I enjoyed this novella more than I thought I would. after the events of the last book, everyone is trying to rebuild and move on ( maybe some of them!). it was just the perfect follow up story. it’s not just ” hey we won!. end of the story” type of thing. which I’m not a fan of. I felt for the characters and their struggles.
which made me love this book and these characters even more. in some chapters we get to read from different POVs ( other than feyer’s). get to know some of the characters sufferings and thoughts, which was one of the best things in this novella. I’m glad the author decided to do so. even though not all of them have their own chapters.
it made me feel warm and fuzzy! made me laugh and even tear up a bit!
the two main characters Rhys and Feyre have the greatest relationship mass has written so far! to see them finally getting what they deserve made me so giddy!
they are some characters who are still struggling, some who I really like in this trilogy. but even so how the author laid the foundation for the next series in this novella, made me without a doubt have the next book on top of my anticipated releases!
my only problem was the sex scenes. I’m not really a big fan of how mass writes them! they either make me laugh, or roll my eyes, or cringe!
SPOILER-Y TALK!!!
first of all can we please talk about the “tradition” hahahaha! snowball fighting was exactly what these baby illyrians needed!!!
I’m all happy for Rhys and his mate, but let’s talk about my favorite ship this series! CASSIAN AND NESTA! my heart shattered for Nesta. yea, yea she can act like a pain in the ass sometimes, but in this novella it was the first time I really felt for her. in someways I can see myself in her.
ahhhh Cassian! my poor baby Illyrian Cassian! let me just say, that I am beyond happy and excited that the next series will follow their story! these two need to be happy TOGETHER!
the bonus chapters at the end of the novella was exactly what I needed! yes Feyre and Nesta have issues, but how CAN Feyre not have a portrait of NESTA in her new home!!! this made pissed, as well as the fact Rhys snarled at Nesta to sit down! I know, I know Nesta isn’t the best, but still she’s struggling as everyone else! even though the path she’s chosen is horrible, you have to know people are different when it comes to the aftermath of horrific events!
AZ didn’t have his own chapter, which made me kind of disappointed. I want to know what goes inside that head of his! hopefully we’ll get that in the next series. as well as more of Helion! and Lucien discovering his real father!
let’s just say I want that book more than ever!
I felt meh about this book. I didn’t expect a lot of action, but I did expect a lot of character development, which I didn’t think there was enough of.
I can’t wait for Nesta’s Trilogy!

I didn’t expect anything from this book except for fluffy moments! Which was why I enjoyed it. I got that and somethings as well!

Great review! 🙂 One of my friends who has read it has said it didn’t add much to the story and that this could be easily added into the next book, so I’m not sure if I’m buying it right now. I haven’t been in the mood for more ACOTAR books lately, so I might wait a while longer. I’m glad to know you liked it tho ^^

Thanks! I didn’t read it right away because I wasn’t in the mood for it too! I think you should definitely read it when you are ready! It didn’t have a major plot or character development either. More like seeing the characters in day to day basis after what happened in acowar. Plus, you get to see what some characters are feeling or thinking other than Feyre!
I hope you enjoy it!
